Windracers started with a simple yet bold idea: to find a low-cost way to deliver long-range emergency humanitarian support where existing infrastructure is poor. Today, their pioneering long-range autonomous cargo drones are delivering critical services and supplies in the world’s most challenging environments.
After a period of growth, in both the production and administrative sides of the business, Windracers wanted to consolidate their team, taking on a 10 year lease on a warehouse space in Fareham.
Ribbon Projects were initially brought onboard to carry out a space planning exercise. However, it quickly became clear that the team could bring far more added value to the project and Ribbon were soon appointed to manage the entire process, from design to completion.
To accommodate the growing team of office-based staff, the width of the mezzanine floor was extended. This presented a few challenges, and extensive structural work was required to make sure that the integrity of the structure was maintained, whilst also ensuring that all compliance requirements and energy related regulations were met.
An industrial and utilitarian approach was applied to the interior space, with a strong focus on the inclusion of brand messaging. This was evident in both the office and warehouse spaces, with the use of digitally printed wallcovering and large-scale banners.

Thank you for all the hard work and delivering the project on budget and on time. You and the team could not have been easier to work with.
